4 Reasons to Start Offering Session Videos NOW!

 

Session videos can provide incredible value to both your clients and your business! They were a game-changer when I began offering them over a decade ago, and I'm confident they can be for you as well! Here are four reasons I think you should start offering session videos NOW! 

1. Session videos can increase your profit per client

When done right, session videos are near impossible for clients to turn down! If you offering digitals with your session fee, then you likely realize you are capping your income when it comes to product sales - with the exception of session films! Session Films are one of the only products that a client cannot purchase on their own after they have their digitals - they HAVE to go through you!

Increasing your profit per client or session can allow you to take on LESS sessions overall - which means more time to do other things in your business! OR, my favorite perk - more time with your own family.

2. Session videos can help you stand out from the crowd

It's no secret that our market is crowded, but let's be honest—nearly every industry today feels the same, thanks to the digital age and the low barriers to entry for service-based businesses. With that in mind, we can't get stuck thinking, "The market is just too saturated, so I can't [insert goal here]." Yes, it's competitive. So, what can you do to stand out and offer something unique? Session videos are a great way to make that happen!

3. Session videos can elevate the value and experience for your clients

I’m not sure I’ve ever had a client that didn’t say they cried when they watched their film. Shoot, I even cry while making their film, and it’s not even my family! Session films provide an emotional experience and value in a way photos simply can’t. This increases your clients emotional attachment to your product (your art) and therefore their loyalty to your brand.

4. Session videos can rejuvenate your creativity

As business owners, we’re also artists, and it’s easy to find ourselves in a creative rut—feeling uninspired, like we're repeating the same thing over and over. Trying something new or pushing yourself creatively in a different way can reignite that spark, making you a stronger artist and, in turn, allowing you to deliver an even better product!
